This page is to help figure out if we are likely to be able to get a piano up your staircase. Here we go…

Case Study 1

Comment: The tight turn and the lack of a flat, square landing area on which to perform the turn makes this is a very awkward staircase.

Case Study 3

Comment: Nice, wide staircase, no bannister rail. Plenty of space at the top and bottom and no tight corners. There is no such thing as an easy stairjob but this one is certainly achievable. Notice the 2nd photo shows a turning point leading to a 2nd, smaller flight. The large flat, turning area is idea to allow space to prepare the piano to go up the 2nd flight.

Case Study 5

Comment: Very tricky. Lots of exposed metalwork which could cause damage. Potential also to be very slippery on a wet day. The tight, turning corners look very tricky. This job is pending and will be viewed in person by the movers before the job is attempted.
