Notes from Mark & Julie
Mark’s summary of this instrument
“Possibly the most uniquely-shaped grand piano I’ve seen in a long time. This is a the hugely rare double-curved grand piano that you can’t find ANYWHERE! “
Update: This piano has now been sold
Sadly, despite the rarity of these pianos, they don’t carry great value and they are not in high demand either on the private or trade market. I am not looking to purchase any more of these so if you have one, I wish you will finding a buyer but I’m afraid I won’t be interested

Comments:
I have found out that Joseph Popp designed this piano and he was a member of the famous Bauhaus School and was a contemporary of Bruno Paul. Paul designed pianos for Ibach. Popp was an artist, designer and architect. You can read this article about Bruno Paul. Also, Popp wrote the book “Die Figurale Wandmalerei, ihre Gesetze und Arten.”
