Prepaid Pianos = Large Discount

Here some general comments to start with:

  • This “prepaid piano project” is a very unusual way to buy a piano.
  • It will certainly not be suitable for most piano buyers
  • Most people will find this idea too stressful to consider
  • Your piano teacher will not recommend that you buy a piano in this way
  • Your piano tuner will not recommend that you buy a piano in this way
  • But there is a big discount available (see below), so it could be worth the adventure
  • If you have known Me (Mark) and Julie (my wife) for a while, by following us on social media , then you may have already decided that you can trust us with an unusual proposal like this. If you don’t know anything about us then you probably won’t want to go ahead. And that’s fine.
  • You will be required to visit the piano in person here in Greater Manchester

This method of buying a piano is NOT for you if;

  • You want to try the piano before paying
  • You want to bring your family to try the piano before paying
  • You want your piano teacher to help you buy a piano
  • You want to see photos of the piano before paying
  • You want to see a video of the piano before paying

So why are we offering this?

  • It helps our cashflow. We have not yet paid for the pianos so if we can pre-sell them then it means we have the cash ready to pay for the pianos before our suppliers needs the money.
  • That makes it very easy for us to offer a large discount
  • Does that make sense? If not, please ask.

About the pianos

  • The pianos are our typical sort of models – Yamaha U1, Yamaha U3, Yamaha U30A, etc. plus occasional grand pianos which are typically C1, C2, C3, etc.
  • They are all high gloss block
  • The pianos are already fully reconditioned in showroom condition before they leave our supplier in Japan
  • The tone of all pianos will be sold as “medium”. If they arrive and they are not medium, we will carry out voicing to the hammers to make sure the piano is “medium” tone before it is delivered to you

How to pre-buy a piano

  • We will share a list of pianos with you showing which pianos are coming to us from Japan
  • There will be no photos – just a list of models and serial numbers
  • You must pay a £100 +VAT refundable deposit to reserve one of the pianos
  • You must then pay for your chosen piano in full 2 weeks before the pianos arrive
  • To clarify, you must pay in full without seeing the piano
  • You must pay by bank transfer only. No card payments. No 0% finance.

How much is the discount?

  • We aren’t publishing that information online
  • We will create a waiting list / email list
  • We will send the discounted price list to everyone on the waiting list at the same time
  • To make sure you get on the waiting list, please email us with the words “WAITING LIST PLEASE” in the email subject line
  • Chances are, if you are reading this page, you are probably on the list

After the pianos arrive

  • All of the pianos will arrive in our Greater Manchester warehouse
  • When we unpack the pianos, if we see any imperfections, we will make them perfect.
  • None of the pianos will be sent to our London showroom
  • After the pianos arrive it will take us 2 weeks to arrange delivery to your house
  • Reminder: you will be required to visit the piano in person here in Greater Manchester to give your final confirmation to go ahead

If you decide not to go ahead

  • If you don’t like your chosen piano, we will sell it on your behalf from our showroom and give you a full refund once we have sold it. This could take 2-3 months but usually 1-2 months. Our intention will be to refund your money within 30 days of you deciding not to go ahead.
  • It is very unlikely that you won’t like the piano. They are wonderful pianos in great condition

After delivery to your home

  • The price you pay for the piano includes groundfloor delivery to your house.
  • The price includes a 1st tuning in your home (please book this 6 weeks after delivery)

So what is the risk?

  • The risk is that you waste a lot of time coming to view the piano and deciding that you don’t like it
  • You also risk having to wait for us to sell the piano to someone else if you decide that you don’t want it after visiting it.

And what is the benefit?

  • The benefit is you get to buy a piano for a LOT less than our standard showroom prices
  • That’s it

I hope this article has explained the situation in full including the risk vs benefit.
