When was it produced?
The Yamaha U3S is a fairly new model and is still being produced today.

Will I need to upgrade at some point?
Nope. A Yamaha U3S will last a lifetime, though you may find yourself tempted by a medium to large grand!
Dimensions
Height: 131cm
Width: 153cm
Depth: 64cm
New and used prices
A new Yamaha U3S costs around £10,000+ and you can get a used one for about 30% less than that.
Alternative models to consider similar to this
Any of the pianos in the U range are worth carefully considering, such as the Yamaha U3, Yamaha UX3, Yamaha U30A, U30BL, etc. If you have a very large space you could also look at a medium to large grand such as the Yamaha C3 or above!
Conclusion
If you come across a Yamaha U3S and really need the sostenuto pedal, you should snap it up, you won’t regret it and it will last a lifetime.
