When was it produced?

The Yamaha YUS3SH2 was released in around 2018 as a replacement for the YUS3SH

Where was it made?

Hamamatsu, Japan is the birth place for all of Yamaha’s best pianos, including the CFX, which goes for £140k. The Yamaha YUS3SH2 was also made in this factory.

What differences between similarly named models?

The YUS1SH2 is 10cm smaller than the Yamaha YUS3SH2. The YUS5SH2 is the same size as the YUS3SH2 but we aren’t clear on the differences yet. You will also see these models listed as SH instead of the more recent SH2.

I always recommend similar uprights from the Yamaha U series. The U3, U300, U30A, U30BL or U3X are all wonderful pianos that also come from Japan. All of these models are available with or without a silent system.
