Free courses with the Royal Navy

I bumped into Emily from the Royal Marines Band Service this week and I agreed to share this poster advertising their upcoming free courses for people considering a musical career within the Royal Marines. We talked about pianos and they said pianists need at least grade 7 standard and be ready to be used for a wide variety of different performances so need to be very versatile.

Apparently, the MOD is the biggest employer of young musicians in the UK and their salaried positions provide income stability that many musicians crave.
