Yamaha U1D Upright Piano Review
Yamaha U1D
The U1D is one of the earliest versions of the Yamaha U1. It was built in Japan between about 1958 and 1964.
Underneath, it is the same general piano as every other U1. The letter marks the period it was made in, and Yamaha made small refinements with each new version.
Good U1Ds are now hard to find, and few buyers ask for one. For most families a later U1H is easier to track down and better value.
Our serial number lookup will confirm the year any Yamaha was made.
Here are some U1D pianos that we’ve had in stock.
