Yamaha U3F Upright Piano Review
Yamaha U3F
The U3F is one of the older versions of the Yamaha U3. It was made in Japan, and serial numbers run from around 100,000 up to 1,000,000.
The sound is softer than later U3s, especially in the bass. That can suit a tight budget or a player who likes a gentle tone.
Avoid one in original condition or with only light work done. A properly reconditioned U3F should be fine, but have it inspected by an independent technician first.
If you can stretch a little further, a U3G or U3H is the safer buy.
Here are some U3F pianos that we’ve had in stock.
