Yamaha U3H Upright Piano Review
Yamaha U3H
The U3H is the classic Yamaha U3. It was built in Japan between about 1970 and 1980, and serial numbers run from 2,000,000 up to 3,000,000.
By this point Yamaha had settled on what a modern upright should be. The U3H is strong and consistent, with a warm tone, a good action and high quality materials.
The best examples come from 1975 onwards. Some early 1970s ones are very nice, but the later ones are the safer choice.
Our serial number lookup will confirm the year any Yamaha was made.
Here are some U3H pianos that we’ve had in stock.
