Used Kemble Pianos for Sale

Kembles are no longer made, so every one for sale is used. Here is what to look for and how to buy a good one. We are Yamaha specialists, and because Kemble was owned by Yamaha, a good used Kemble sits naturally alongside the reconditioned Yamahas we sell.

What is on the market

You will find Kemble uprights advertised by dealers and privately, mostly the Yamaha-era models such as the Classic, Oxford and Cambridge, plus older British-only Kembles. The later ones, built after 1988 with Yamaha parts, are usually the better buy. See are Kemble pianos made by Yamaha.

Dealer or private

A dealer piano has usually been checked, tuned and prepared, and comes with some comeback if something is wrong. A private one is often cheaper but sold as seen, so bring or pay for a technician. Our buying guide has the full checklist.

What to pay

A used Kemble usually costs less than the equivalent reconditioned Yamaha, which is the appeal. See our price guide.

Worth comparing

Before you commit, hear a reconditioned Japanese Yamaha of similar money alongside it. We keep a good range and are happy to let you compare, with no pressure. See our Yamaha pianos for sale.
