Yamaha C6 Grand Piano

The Yamaha C6 is one of Yamaha’s larger grands, a semi-concert size at 212cm long. It is a serious instrument, made in Japan, and a good step up in scale from the popular C3.

Why choose a Yamaha C6?

  • At 212cm, the long strings and large soundboard give a powerful, rich tone with a deep, singing bass.
  • It has three pedals, usually including a full sostenuto.
  • It is built from high-quality materials and made to last a lifetime.
  • It has the projection for a teaching studio, a church or a small venue, not just a front room.

Things to weigh up

  • It is a big piano. You need a large room, and delivery needs proper access.
  • A grand of this size and quality is a considered purchase, so take your time.

Who is it for?

The C6 suits advanced and professional players, teachers, and anyone who wants close to concert-grand tone at home. If your room is smaller, a C3 at 186cm or a C5 at 200cm may suit you better.

Dimensions

Length 212cm, width 149cm.

The C series

The C series is Yamaha’s long-running line of quality grands, made in Japan and used everywhere from homes to conservatoires. The C6 sits near the top of the range, above the C3 and C5 and below the full concert models.
