Are Petrof Pianos Good?
Yes. Petrof is one of Europe’s oldest and most respected piano makers, hand-building pianos in the Czech Republic since 1864, and its instruments are well made and lovely to play.
What people like about them
The warm, romantic, singing tone in the older European tradition, the hand-built character, and above all the value: a real European piano for less than the big German names. They are used by serious players and taken seriously by the trade.
The honest picture
Petrof is not as famous in the UK as Yamaha, Steinway or the German makers, which means two things. Resale here is not as strong as a Yamaha’s, and they are less common on the used market, so you may need to look. Neither is a mark against the piano; both are just facts to weigh.
