Buying a Used Petrof
A used Petrof can be excellent value, a hand-built European piano for sensible money. Here is how to buy one well. We are Yamaha specialists, not a Petrof dealer, so this is honest guidance.
What to check
As with any used piano, condition matters more than the name. Check the action, the hammers, tuning stability and the case, and whether it has been rebuilt and with what. Have one seen by an independent technician before you buy.
Age and model
The serial number and model date the piano. The grands run from the smaller Standard series up to the Master series and the concert Mistral; the uprights from around 118cm up to the tall models. See our models guide.
