The very short version of me buying the piano is that I had dreamed of owning a decent grand piano for decades, but ended up being a single mum and life did not allow such luxuries…
Im the summer of 2018 I was in Leeds looking at accommodation for my youngest son who was going to do his degree at the conservatoire there, drove past a little shop called The Piano man, and we both said we need to go in there ! So we did, and as I recall spent the whole afternoon having a fantastic time playing just about everything there was( the shop was much bigger than it looked) I fell in love with my yamaha, despite never really liking yamaha grands before. But the newer C2 was very different in both touch and tone to any other yamahas I had played up until then. So after a lot of soul searching and arranging finance , I managed to buy it. I had hoped it would help me fill the huge void in my life after my son left, and it did. It has certainly taken pride of place in my home and been looked after meticulously. There is not a mark on it. It is beautiful to play ( even better than when brand new in my opinion) and I will miss it terribly.
